Hyundai’s rear wheel drive sports coupe was unveiled in 2008 and carved out its rightful place in the sports car category. Despite the Genesis brand being an independent luxury division of the auto giant, for some reason they’ve deemed it necessary to include Hyundai in the name of this luxury sports car. US retail prices start at $26,950.

Hyundai is offering the 2017 Genesis Coupe in three variants, namely the 3.8, 3.8 R and 3.8 U. Each of these has two doors, four seats and a 3.8 litre GDI, DOHC, V6 engine pumping out an awesome 348 hp. The standard transmission is a 6-speed close ratio manual gearbox. An 8-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic and rev-matching is available as an option.
