10) Toyota Tundra
The first full-size pickup to be built by Toyota in America, the Tundra has been popular right from its initial launch in 2000. The new 2017 Tundra retails in the US starting from $30,120.
The truck’s powerhouse is a 5.7 litre aluminum V8 engine with DOHC 32-valve cylinder heads and acoustic control induction system (ACIS), as well as dual independent variable valve timing VVT. It puts out 381 hp @ 5600 rpm and 401 lb-ft of torque @ 3600 rpm.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic. Four-piston brake calipers provide awesome stopping power for when a trailer is attached.
Integrated backup camera, premium audio with integrated navigation app and multimedia support, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control and a multifunctional steering wheel are must-have features available on some variants. Seating for five or six people is also optional with some cab configurations.
