The Aygo has been built for the European market since 2005 at a factory in the Czech Republic, which Toyota shares with Citroen and Peugeot. Toyota offers a range of optional extras to customize the Aygo for new buyers, to suit each customer’s unique personality. The car has enjoyed one of the highest reliability and customer satisfaction ratings in its class.
The Aygo is being offered in as many as six different models which nearly double in price from the base variant to the top end. The standard powertrain consists of a 1.0 litre petrol engine capable of 69 hp, coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The basic model comes with all the features of a city car including remote locking, front power windows, and a radio with mp3 capability. Tire pressure warning system and hill-start assist control are also part of the standard package now.
