3) Hyundai Azera
The Azera is the flagship vehicle and the US version of the Korean giant’s Hyundai Grandeur. This full-size sedan has been produced since 1986. 2016 ushered in its sixth generation. Azera finds a niche between the larger and smaller segments represented by Hyundai’s Sonata and Genesis cars respectively.
Currently available US models include the standard version starting from $34,100, and the limited version retailing at $39,000. Both cars have the same 3.3 litre DOHC 24 valve D-CVVT V6 gasoline direct injection engine producing 293 hp @ 6400 rpm. Both cars are front wheel driven with a six speed automatic transmission.
Standard safety features include blind spot detection (BSD) and Rear Cross-traffic Alert (RCTA). Among the things that improve comfort are the 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat, smart cruise control and a 14 speaker audio system. Hyundai claims a fuel economy of 20 mpg in the city with the standard Azera.
